Five for Friday: Anniversary Edition!

Always a good time over at Doodle Bugs! I love the Five for Friday linky. :)

What are ya'll up to today?

First off, I hope you had an AMAZING time shopping for goodies earlier this week during the TpT site wide sale!!! It is my favorite sale of the year. I stocked up on some clipart goodies since I won't be headed back into the classroom this year. Check out what I got! I'm so excited!!!

How could I not get this?? I still haven't even decided what I'm going to use these masks for... Impulse buy that I do NOT regret!

Ah, be still my heart. Whimsy Workshop makes some of my all time favorite clipart sets (believe me, I own MANY of them...). And you know Interactive Notebooks are my favorite, too! This set is so exciting! Look for some new Interactive Notebook packs in the future!

This font pack goes down in history as one of the BEST purchases I've EVER made on TpT, EVER. I'm obsessed...

Sonya DeHart makes the most beautiful backgrounds! I own so many, but this one was too pretty to pass up. <3 I'm thinking of some New Year's freebies with this set in January!

Any time I shop for Science clip art, Artifex is my first stop. I'm still working on the Rocks and Soil Science pack, but when I'm done with that, come back and look for a Matter Science pack! These packs will be similar in types of activities to my Human Body Unit.

I absolutely love this art work! This was one I almost didn't buy because I do not have an immediate use for it... but I just couldn't pass up the sale. My favorite is the excited girl in the green shirt at the bottom!

This is another one of my favorite clip art stores! If you are a Second grade teacher like me, you probably spend a decent amount of time on life cycles, so this set is perfect. And she's not done with it yet, which means SURPRISES in the future! The best kind of surprises are clip art surprises, am I right?

Today is my wedding anniversary! 3 years! I also had several mild contractions all day and night yesterday, so we were thinking this baby boy would come on our anniversary... but nothing today. :/ Happy anniversary to the love of my life! 3 years married, 8 together!

If you are looking for a photographer in Florida, check out 1000 Words Gallery! She did our engagement photos and will be doing some baby photos in the future as well! <3 her!

Are you setting up your classrooms right now? I'm actually envious because that is one of my FAVORITE THINGS TO DO EVER! I love getting creative in my classroom and have certainly been jealous of all the amazing classroom photos and videos I've seen circulating the internet lately.

If you are still looking for a theme or just want something more to add to your room, check out this newly UPDATED decor pack. The pirate bundle has most items individually as well, so click the link and in the product description will be clickable links to the sets individually in case you are looking for just one or two things. :)

Here's my very first Kindergarten classroom:

If you don't follow me on Facebook, you'll want to take a look! I have recently ventured into the world of video-making and am having a TOTAL BLAST! My Facebook will begin to feature videos on tips and tricks for the classroom, new resources (some free, of course!), and all kinds of fun topics! Here's the first video on a fun game I like to use with my students on Place Value.

And of course, a baby update! Well.... I got nothin'. He isn't coming yet. Although, as mentioned above, I did spend the evening with some mild and inconsistent contractions that were certainly different than anything I've experienced thus far, so that's a good sign, I suppose. He is due in exactly ONE MORE WEEK! So, really, any day now, folks. I can't wait to meet him! <3

If you missed my post a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I decided for me to take this school year off from teaching. We are very fortunate to be able to manage this on one income. I wrote a blog post about my mixed emotions on skipping this year that you won't want to miss out on. Click the image below to head to that post now!

Have a great year back, teachers! And stay tuned for more videos, baby updates, and all kinds of new resources and freebies to help you along your way with this brand new bunch of kiddos.

What's the Scoop?

Yesterday FLEW by, ya'll. Don't you hate when your weekend days just fly by like they didn't happen?? Phew! Another busy week ahead and I'm telling ya, I just want to lay around today. Can't do it though! I have a LOT to do and here's the scoop:

BUSY BUSY BUSY!!

I am not happy that I have another week of soft/liquid foods after this oral surgery. Two weeks!!! That's just too long! On the bright side, I've lost 4 pounds... But I really need to blend up my lunches for the next couple of days. My Ninja blender is too loud to do in the morning.

I REALLY hope I have the time today to work on a couple of projects for my TpT store, one possibly being a freebie (more on that later...)! If you haven't seen, my Kindergarten Reading Wonders packs are now bundled together. They are quickly becoming some of my best selling packs on TpT and I'm so excited to get them finished. I bundled them together before I have completed Unit 4. The good news is that the bundle is a growing bundle, meaning it's cheaper right now than it will be when it is fully completed. I really would like to finish up Unit 4 today (probably won't happen but if I work SUPER hard, maybe...) and add it. So if you are on the fence about purchasing the bundle, NOW is the time before the price goes up. If you purchase it before Unit 4 is added, don't worry, you will get the updated product free of charge when the unit is added. This goes for Unit 10 as well which will be posted in February.

Click the image below to check it out now. It has all the links to the products included which are individually $20.

I also really hope I can get some reading in today! I am reading Ken Follett's World Without End at the moment and it is soooooo good. It is the sequel to The Pillars of the Earth which was AMAZING.

These books have been out for a while, but I just recently discovered them. He also has written a newer series which I can't wait to get my hands on. Have you read these books? I LOVE them!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Thanksgiving Five for Friday!

I haven't done a Five for Friday linkup with Doodle Bugs Teaching in months! And I found out that today is the last chance I'll have to linkup until January. Five for Friday is taking a little vacation, so I just had to jump on board before I wouldn't have the chance anymore!

If you haven't heard of Five for Friday, I'll fill you in! Doodle Bugs Teaching hosts this linky every Friday where teacher bloggers write 5 random things about their week or upcoming weeks! Sometimes we have so much to blog about and so little time! This gives me a chance to narrow things down and write about 5 things that are important. Let's go!

Yesterday was Thanksgiving! I had a great holiday with my family. It was definitely a strange one this year as, if you recall, my brother moved away a few months ago. This was the first holiday I had to endure without him, but truthfully, it wasn't so bad! We didn't do our usual turkey dinner at my mom's this year which is probably why I didn't have a hard a time as I thought I would.

We went to my husband's uncle's house to spend time with his family for lunch and then went to dinner with my mom and stepdad at an amazing Italian restaurant that did some awesome things for Thanksgiving.

Today is Black Friday, which is a day that I hate. Nowadays, stores are open ON Thanksgiving! Well, this is the first year in 5 years I do not work in retail, so I am not going out unless it is to work in my classroom. Last year, my husband and I both worked on Thanksgiving and could not even enjoy a single meal with our families. It is heartbreaking. I found this image online and it is SO TRUE to me! I used to work for many years at Best Buy which is one of the busiest stores in the country on Black Friday... and I saw a lot of people treat each other terribly. You won't see me out shopping today, for sure.

I will, however, SHOP ONLINE! WOOO! I usually do most of my Christmas shopping online anyway no matter what the day because I can find so many different things without leaving my house! And if I find something I want to buy, I can look around for the best price without using the gas in my car.

I also can SELL things on sale! Having a TpT store this weekend, means there's a sale coming up, ya'll! Cyber Monday is December 1st and my cart is packed and ready to go!!!

Don't forget to use the code at the end of your purchase to get even more money off. I forget sometimes...

I'm going to my classroom either today or tomorrow to decorate and get ready for Christmas. Since this is my first year teaching, this is my first Christmas season with a group of kinders! I am really excited... probably more than they are. I've been obsessed with everything Christmas on Pinterest since the beginning of November. Here are some Pinspirations for the upcoming holiday in my classroom!! NOTE: These images are not my own. They are from other blogs and websites. To visit the original post, click the image.

This would be a good door decoration since we live in Florida!

Do you follow me on Pinterest? Make sure you do! I spend more time on Pinterest than I'd like to admit, but it does make for some awesome ideas to click through! Follow me and send me your holiday Pinspirations! I'd love to see what you are up to!

And finally, what's on your wishlist, ya'll? The sale coming up has me going through my miles long wishlist and narrowing down what I want or need for my kooky group of kinders (or, ya know, clipart... my other addiction...).

I just posted a second Dice Games download and will be posting Volume 3 before Monday! THEN, they will be in a nifty bundle. "Bundle Up!" is my store's theme this holiday season! It is so much easier and cheaper to go for bundles (a TpT trick for you as a buyer... always look for the products you want in a bundle. You get SO MUCH more for your money. I buy bundles any time I get the opportunity).

Daisy Designs Bestseller! Math and Literacy centers.

NEW! Literacy centers: CVC words

COMING SOON: Volume 3, Addition and Subtraction Dice Games AND Dice Games BUNDLE!

Happy shopping everyone! If you are venturing out for the sales today, please be very safe. People are crazy and they drive even crazier! I will be here posting new products for you and your classroom, so make sure you check it all out for the sale on Monday! Can't wait!!!

The Moment We've All Been Waiting For...

Okay, well maybe the moment I've been waiting for...

It's DONE.

The extensively talked about Kindergarten Skills Bundle... is... done. Kinda. It's up and ready for download but more will be added later!

This will be an expanding bundle. Any time I add new products under the Kindergarten Skills umbrella, they will be added to the bundle. You can, of course, buy them separately as well, but it is much cheaper to go with the bundle. And if you buy it before a new product is added, there is no price increase for you. Right now, the bundle is $9. As more products are added, that will go up! So snag your low price now and keep getting goodies added over time!

Wooooooooo!!!!!!!!
